White Supremacist Jon Minadeo II Targets Tampa Bay Area

On Saturday afternoon, a group of men with the white supremacist group ‘Goyim Defense League’ (GDL) were seen riding around in a rented U-Haul pickup truck and performing Nazi salutes while throwing antisemitic propaganda onto people’s lawns in neighborhoods between Edgewood Drive and Lake Hollingsworth Drive before being stopped by Lakeland police.

Resident Valerie Morrow videotaped some of the neo-Nazi activity on Saturday. She contacted LkldNow and provided the video, saying she was on her way home from work when she got a phone call that masked men in a truck threw antisemitic literature onto lawns in their neighborhood off Edgewood Drive. When they spotted Morrow, they did a Nazi salute after the truck turned onto Crystal Lake Drive and also began videotaping her.

LkldNowwas able to identifie two men in the truck: Burt Colucci and Jon Minadea I.

Colucci, who has lived in Lakeland in the past, identifies himself as the “commander” of a neo-Nazi group called the National Socialist Movement, which is based in Kissimmee – where he told LkldNow last year that he lives. In Saturday’s video, he is seen in the back right of the truck, sitting next to Minadea.

Colucci was arrested twice last year, appearing in court in Arizona in January to answer three charges, including one felony, related to a 2021 incident in which he is accused of pointing a firearm at Black men in a hotel parking lot. Colucci has lived in at least two Lakeland addresses since 1997 but also has a listed residential address in Jonesboro, Ark., and currently claims he lives in Kissimmee, where the NSM has a post office box as its national headquarters.

Another man in the truck on Saturday, dressed in a bright blue suit, is Minadea, the host of Goyim TV, who held a microphone with a “GTV” mic flag on Saturday. Goyim is a Yiddish word Jewish people use to describe non-Jewish people. He has been written about extensively for his neo-Nazi activities in California.

The NGO StopAntisemitism has previously named Jon Minadeo II as their ‘Antisemites of the Week’ multiple times due to his ongoing antisemitic targeting and harassment of the Jewish people.

GDL’s work on Saturday brought them within half a mile of Lakeland’s Temple Emanuel synagogue. Rabbi David Goldstein said he was unaware of the incident, but declined to comment further.

Several people sent LkldNow photos of plastic bags found on their lawns. Those pamphlets contain propaganda deriding Jewish people for owning major media corporations and that “every single aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish.”

Those bags also contained pellets. It was uncertain if they were pellets for a grill – possibly a subtle reference to the Holocaust, when bodies of Jews were burned in the ovens of concentration camps — or if they were rat poison pellets.

Minadea and another man in a mask got out of the truck bed and approached Morrow, filming her as she filmed them. “You can’t keep following us around like this. You’re harassing us,” the masked man said, showing her his pamphlet.  “You know they’re all Jewish, right? They’re all Jewish. And we don’t like it. Gun control, immigration, media, COVID. They’re all Jewish. You’re not helping our cause.”

Then Minadea approached the passenger side of her car.

“Hi – could you stop filming us please? It’s kind of weird,” he said. “We’re exercising our First Amendment. I’m sure you might have a dog in this fight, but if you’re Jewish, we recommend that you just tell on your people. Stopping hiding the truth, OK. Just tell on your Jewish people.”

Jon Minadea II recently moved from Petaluma, CA to Florida and took “the functional headquarters and nerve center of the nation’s most prolific antisemitic propaganda group” with him.

Morrow said she stopped videotaping, called the police and a Lakeland Police officer arrived quickly.

“The officer, a woman, told me, ‘I have this now’ in a very reassuring manner,” Morrow said. “I could hear her tell them, ‘This is a traffic stop now’ and heard the one guy in the blue jacket crying, ‘Why, why?’”

In February 2022, about 20 National Socialist Movement members hung swastika-adorned banners proclaiming “Vax the Jews” and promoting the Goyim Defense League’s GoyimTV platform on an I-4 overpass near an Orlando shopping center. StopAntisemitism reported the rally was live streamed on neo-Nazi websites.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that Colucci and Joshua Terrell of Indiana were charged with “battery evidencing prejudice after video showed the two attacking a Jewish man who confronted them as they shouted antisemitic slurs by Alafaya Trail and Waterford Lakes Parkway. The battery charges, normally first-degree misdemeanors, are being upgraded to third-degree felonies under Florida’s hate crime law.”

Antisemitic 'GDL' Flyers Scattered Across Northern California Lawns

Redding Police are seeking the public's help in the investigation of another antisemitic hate incident to happen in the Northern California neighborhoods.

The department says that at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11th, officers received reports of flyers containing antisemitic hate speech throughout the Country Heights subdivision in Redding. The flyers reportedly contained various antisemitic and anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric, as well as allegations related to Covid-19 vaccines. The flyers also directed people to a known antisemitic website.

NGO StopAntisemitism has identified the white supremaicst group as the Goyim Defense League or ‘GDL.’ The GDL is led my white supremacist Jon Minadeo II; Minadeo was previously listed as ‘Antisemite of the Week.’

This is far from the first time Redding residents have woken up to hate speech on their lawn; in the past six months, there have been three different instances in which antisemitic flyers were found in Redding neighborhoods.

Oklahoma City Area Hit with Antisemitic 'GDL' Flyers

Antisemitic hate flyers are circulating in Oklahoma City neighborhoods, a local Jewish organization said as some Jewish community members walked out on their front porches and saw the fliers.

"This has been happening in other cities around the country," said Rachael Johnson, Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City.

The organization said it had become a national problem, but it hits close to home when it happens locally.

"It's very upsetting that it's ending up in the front yards of our community in Oklahoma City," Johnson said.

KOCO 5 was told this started back in January. The organization said they’d reported it to the right agencies, but it doesn’t guarantee it’ll stop.

NGO StopAntisemitism has identified the white supremacist group as the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The leader of the GDL is neo-nazi, Jon Minadeo II. Minadeo was previously listed as StopAntisemitism’s ‘Antisemite of the Week.’

KOCO 5 was told the flyers are similar to others found in other states, created by fringe antisemitic and white supremacist groups law enforcement has been tracking.

"The best way we can combat that is through educating everyone on what antisemitism is and speaking out against hate. And standing with each other," Johnson said.

Holocaust Deniers Project Antisemitic Message onto Anne Frank House

UPDATE April 26, 2023: Police arrested Goyim Defense League member Frank Wilson in Poland on Tuesday on suspicion of projecting an antisemitic slur on Amsterdam’s Anne Frank House which led to widespread shock in the Netherlands; more here.

UPDATE March 2, 2023: Dutch Police have named Goyim Defense League member Frank Wilson responsible for the antisemitic projection found on the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Wilson has evaded arrest from a previous assault charge and fled to Poland last year, where he posed with GDL founder, Jon Minadeo II with antisemitic messaging outside of Auschwitz. Dutch & German police are investigating other antisemitic incidents to link them to possibly Frank Wilson; more here.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands led a chorus of condemnation on Friday following the laser projection of an antisemitic message onto the outer wall of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, where the famed teenage Jewish diarist hid with her family during the Nazi occupation of the country.

The offending message was flashed into the front of the building on Monday using a laser. It referred to Anne Frank as the “inventor of the ballpoint pen” — an internet meme actively spread by Holocaust deniers who falsely claim that the diary was written using a pen that did not exist during World War II. The Anne Frank House said in a statement that images of the incident were circulating on right-wing chat groups and it had referred the matter to police and prosecutors.

Calling the message “reprehensible,” Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said in a statement on Friday that “there is no place for antisemitism in our country; we cannot accept this.” Separately, Justice Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz slammed the message as “disgusting.”

Femke Halsema, the mayor of Amsterdam, said she was communicating with police, judicial officials, and the Jewish community regarding the incident. Halsema denounced the message as “pure antisemitism” and an “attack on the legacy of Anne Frank.”

NGO StopAntisemitism expressed their outrage over the antisemitic incident.

A study last month revealed that almost one-quarter of Dutch millennials believe the Holocaust is a myth. At the same time, 60 percent of respondents did not name the Netherlands as a country impacted by the Holocaust. Over 100,000 Dutch Jews — three-quarters of the population — were murdered during the Holocaust, the highest killing rate recorded in western Europe.

Earlier this week, a separate report disclosed that nearly half of Dutch high school teachers had witnessed an antisemitic incident during the last year.

The same report noted that 20 percent of offenders were of Moroccan origin — double the number recorded by a similar survey ten years ago — with Dutch citizens from a Turkish background also overrepresented. Offenders are mainly young males, the report stated.

White Supremacist Group Targets Maryland High School with Antisemitic Flyers for Second Time

Shortly after school dismissal on Tuesday, Northwood High School staff discovered an antisemitic flyer posted outside near the athletic field—the second found on the Silver Spring campus in February, according to Maryland county police.

The flyer found Tuesday and one that posted in the same area Feb. 2 contained “hate speech and antisemitic comments,” Principal Jonathan Garrick wrote in an email to the Northwood community. Montgomery County police are investigating both incidents, spokesperson Lauren Ivey confirmed to MoCo360 on Thursday.

Eli Schreiber, a senior at Northwood and member of the school’s Jewish Culture Club, told MoCo360 he was disappointed to learn of the flyers, and that other students responded with bewilderment to the email announcement sent by the principal on Wednesday.

“More than anything, people were a little weirded out,” he said. “Like, this just didn’t seem normal, and it felt very out of place.”

He added that the Northwood community has “really come together” to make sure Jewish students feel safe and supported in the wake of these incidents, and that he feels “very safe” under the care of the school security team.

Fellow Northwood senior Avi Berzofsky had a different reaction to the flyers.

“From the student body, I didn’t see much of a reaction from other students who weren’t Jewish,” he said. “It was a little surprising.”

Concerned by what he perceived to be silence in the face of hateful rhetoric, Berzofsky said he reached out to the president of the Jewish Culture Club, who helped him publish an Instagram story on the group’s account reiterating that “hate is not okay in schools.” He said between 80 and 90 of the school’s 1,784 students viewed the story.

Both flyers were found on a ramp leading to the athletic track, according to Garrick. Berzofsky said the entire sports field is fenced in, meaning “someone either had access to school grounds, or they jumped the fence.”

Berzofsky said he’s both surprised and not surprised by the incidents.

“Antisemitism has always been a thing, and it’s never going to go away. But someone thought it would be a good idea to bring this into school, and that’s what concerns me most,” he said.

Garrick wrote the flyers appeared to be “connected with a documented outside hate group.” School administration and security are working with local police to identify the parties responsible for their distribution, he said.

MoCo360 obtained photographs of both flyers from students. They contain language referring to the Goyim Defense League, a documented antisemitic group.

StopAntisemitism has identified the group responsible as the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The leader of the GDL, Jon Minadeo II was listed as their ‘Antisemite of the Year.’

In late January, similar flyers believed to be from the GDL were deposited on the porches of over a dozen Kensington residents.

Schreiber said when he saw photos of the flyers posted at Northwood, he noticed some of the language they used implied a denial of Holocaust-related history. He said adding more to the district’s school curriculum to teach about the effects of the Holocaust and its modern-day repercussions would benefit students.

“I understand that the Holocaust is a very touchy or uncomfortable subject for a lot of people, but learning about the after-effects—like the rejection of Jews that still happens today—might help prevent this kind of thing moving forward,” he said.

Mayor of Barcelona Terminates Relationship with Tel Aviv, Claims 'Apartheid'

Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau has announced that the city is no longer twinned with Tel Aviv, citing claims that Israel is guilty of “apartheid,” as well as “flagrant and systematic violation of human rights.”

Barcelona and Tel Aviv entered the relationship in 1998 — when both cities jointly signed a “twin city” agreement. Colau’s decision comes less than a year after Barcelona launched two linked campaigns — “Shalom Barcelona” and “Barcelona Connects Israel” to appeal to Jewish and Israeli tourists interested in exploring their heritage. Last summer, the city opened up the world’s first Michelin-starred kosher restaurant.

Various Jewish organizations condemned the decision, including the Federation of the Jewish Communities of Spain condemned the decision, which it called “sophisticated antisemitism” and StopAntisemitism, who tweeted Spain was once again “boycotting Jews”.

MK Dan Illouz (Likud) also responded to the decision and said, "Severing ties with a partner country while continuing to support the terror in Gaza is hypocrisy at its most alarming state. Israel and Spain have always enjoyed a fruitful relationship in regards to tourism and economics. I urge Mayor of Barcelona Ada Colau to reconsider this stance."

Tourism Minister Haim Katz asked the mayor of Barcelona to reverse the decision, stating "Our relations with Spain are strong, Israeli tourists love traveling to Spain and we warmly welcome Spanish tourists. We want to see an increase in tourism from Spain. This is a regrettable and fundamentally incorrect decision, politics and tourism must be separated. The internal conflict in Israel is challenging, we work to cultivate Arab society that seeks to integrate into the country. The army operates with morality and wisdom, while maintaining strict adherence to human rights."

Joe Rogan Under Fire for Defending Ilhan Omar's Antisemitic Rhetoric

Joe Rogan has been slammed for saying on the latest episode of his popular podcast that Jewish people are “into money,” during a discussion on the U.S. House’s move last week to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

“It’s crazy,” said Rogan. “Did you see him sitting next to Ilhan Omar, where she’s apologizing for talking about ‘it’s all about the Benjamins’? Which is just about money. She’s talking about money. That’s not an antisemitic comment; I don’t think that is. Benjamins are money. The idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f****** stupid,” he added.

He was referring to a 2019 tweet by Omar in which she wrote that pro-Israel votes in Congress were “all about the Benjamins.” Republicans cited the tweet, one in a series of antisemitic remarks made by Omar, as one of the reasons for booting her off the committee.

Omar has also accused Israel of having “hypnotized the world,” and Jews of buying control of Congress. She called Israel an “apartheid state” and likened it to the terrorist groups Taliban and Hamas.

“Whether you agree with her or not, she has a bold opinion, and that opinion is not her own. There are many people that have that opinion, and they should be represented,” Rogan said of the Minnesota Democrat.

“Joe Rogan is once again spewing antisemitic misinformation to his millions of followers, this time irresponsibly spreading an age-old trope about Jews and money, and then minimizing it by comparing it to Italians and pizza. Last time we checked, Italians weren’t the victims of genocide for their love of pizza,” said Liora Rez, executive director of StopAntisemitism.

Notably, Rogan’s guest, Krystal Ball, defended Omar, stating that the congresswoman should not have apologized for the Benjamins comment. Ball then implied that Israel was untouchable because of Jewish money influencing Washington, D.C.

“Joe Rogan can no longer be protected by free speech when his horrific rhetoric will ultimately lead to further violence against Jews. StopAntisemitism is calling on Joe Rogan and Krystal Ball to apologize for their remarks and for Spotify and The Joe Rogan Experience to invite guests on to have a conversation about antisemitism and how comments like his and his guests are not just controversial but dangerous for the Jewish people,” added Rez.

Rogan’s show has an estimated 11 million listeners per episode and is the most popular podcast on Spotify’s platform.

Cincinnati Police Investigating Antisemitic 'GDL' Flyers Littered Throughout Community

An alarming start to the day in College Hill, Ohio after residents walked outside to find antisemitic messages littering their neighborhood.

Cincinnati police are investigating the literature found on Ambrose Avenue and W. North Bend Road.

For those who live and work in the neighborhood, they say this type of message is not welcome there.

"I went over to pick it up and I realized right away it was an antisemitic message," Tina Stoeberl said. Stoeberl owns the College Hill Coffee Company and has for nearly two decades.

She said she was cleaning off her businesses patio when she found a small plastic bag filled with bird seed to weigh it down, and found what she considers an antisemitic message inside.

"It makes me feel like these folks are not from this neighborhood because there's no room for that in College Hill, and that's the truth," Stoeberl said.

NGO StopAntisemitism has identified the group responsible as the Goyim Defense League (GDL), led by white supremacist Jon Minadeo II. Minadeo was featured as StopAntisemitism’s ‘Antisemite of the Week.’

An official confirmed the department's Intelligence Unit is investigating to determine what the material is and whether poses a threat of any kind. "College Hill is a neighborhood for all people and always has been," Stoeberl said. "When I opened my business 17 years ago, I said 'This is a place for all people, where everyone is welcome.' And, it kind of took my breath away this morning, for real, because that's not an everyday occurrence here."

Brooklyn Jewish Man Viciously Punched in the Head

An Orthodox man was the victim of an unprovoked assault in the Remsen Village area of Crown Heights Wednesday morning, taking a punch to the head that left him shaken.

According to reports, Crown Heights Shomrim was called around 8:50am to the scene on Remsen Ave between Winthrop and Clarkson for the report of a Jewish man punched in the head. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from the blow, with the perpetrator having fled the scene.

The victim had been able to quickly call Shomrim and 911 despite the assault, and stated that the man had approached without saying anything, just came at him and attacked. With his quick action, the victim was also able to take a photo of the perpetrator, providing it to Shomrim and the NYPD.

Thankfully the victim’s injuries were not serious and he did not require medical attention.

Elite LA Prep School Unable to Solve Spate of Antisemitic Incidents

The administration at Harvard Westlake, a Los Angeles prep school, filed a police report and increased campus surveillance after a Nazi symbol was found poked into a bulletin in the student lounge on Jan. 23, the fifth in a series of antisemitic incidents over the past five months. The school administration said they are working to narrow down a list of possible suspects, and that once found, the perpetrator or perpetrators will receive harsh punishment, according to President Rick Commons.

The four previously reported incidents occurred in various locations across campus. In September, a swastika was found drawn onto a whiteboard; in October, the words “Hitler Rocks” and several swastikas were found carved into a desk; and in December, “swastika-like symbols” were found scratched into two desks in the same classroom, according to Commons.

NGO StopAntisemitism expressed their outrage of the incidents on Harvard Westlake’s campus and the overall response from the admission’s team on the matter.

Head of Upper School Beth Slattery said the school’s security team filed the police report and that she would consider pressing charges if a perpetrator is found.

“Security filed a police report since they are the liaison with law enforcement,” Slattery said. “If we were to find out who is responsible for the incidents, I would certainly consider pursuing it criminally since, as far as I understand, it would be considered a crime.”

Commons said while the school does not know who is responsible for the swastikas, he believes it may be one person.

“We don’t know who is doing this,” Commons said. “It could be that its multiple people, but it doesn’t seem that way. It feels like it’s one person who, either because that person is rebellious, angry, or hateful, has decided to do this. As long as I’ve been in schools, kids write things on desks that are intended to provoke administrators, but when the swastika is involved, I don’t think we have any choice but to react seriously.”

Slattery said while she believes some of the incidents may have been committed by the same person, more recent incidents may be different students trying to emulate earlier vandalism.

Commons said because of the multiple attempts to spread awareness about the harm the swastikas cause, the punishment for the culprit will be severe and potentially include expulsion.

“I think after the first incident that we made public, it would be very hard for any student to have missed how upsetting it was to our community,” Commons said. “I then spoke to class meetings after the third and fourth incidents, so for someone in the aftermath of that secondary explanation of how hateful this is to have continued to do it strikes me as deserving of severe consequences if we were to find that person. I think expulsion is on the table, and in certain situations, I reserve the right to bypass the Honor Board and make a decision in conjunction with my colleagues to make a more swift decision.”

In addition to getting law enforcement involved, Slattery said the school is adding surveillance to places on campus.

Aryan Freedom Network Litters Antisemitic Flyers Throughout an Ohio Community

An Ohio mobile home park maintenance worker arrived Tuesday morning to discover antisemitic flyers, according to Chasity Hudnall, the property manager.

She said images and messages of hate, racism, and antisemitism were found folded in roughly 20 plastic bags at the end of driveways. There was also rice inside the bags. “This is very shocking and disturbing that we saw this type of stuff,” Hudnall said.

“We assume the rice in here was used as a weight when they threw them. We're assuming they threw them out of the car as they were driving,” she said. “Don't put your hate thoughts out to other people.” She said the bags appeared from someone outside the mobile home park. Police also found a trail of bags on the streets outside the mobile home park.

We heard from a neighbor who said she found one in her driveway. She did not want to share her identity to protect her safety.

"I really felt like it's something that had no place there,” she said. “Initially, I thought it was trash, which is why I pulled over to pick it up off the end of my driveway, I was on my way to work. And then I realized what it was. And as I was driving out, I felt like every single one of my neighbors had one dropped at the end of their driveway too. So just a little pit in my stomach."

A spokesperson for the Cincinnati FBI office said on Wednesday it is aware of the situation but they could not provide more detail at this time.

Swastikas Unearthed in Arkansas City Park

Members of the El Dorado Parks and Playground Commission released a status report on park projects. In the report it concluded that antisemitic graffiti was discovered at Mellor Park.

Park manager, Michael Lewis said offensive messages that were aimed at Jewish people had been spray-painted and marked on picnic tables, columns and the concrete padding in the pavilion last month.

City crews scrubbed the concrete, matched paint to cover the columns and repainted the picnic tables Wildcat Purple.

The work took place in mid-January when Commissioner Karen Hicks said a visitor to Mellor Park notified her about the graffiti and she contacted Lewis.

While following up on the work Monday, Hicks discovered missed antisemitic words, some misspelled, atop a slide in the park.

Lewis returned to Mellor Park with more scrub brushes and paint to tend to the matter, saying city crews missed the graffiti that was on the top surface of the playground equipment when they removed the derogatory messages from the pavilion last month.

The pavilion and slide are on opposite ends of the park. They both sit on the east side of Mellor Park, with the pavilion on the north end and the slide on end.

EPPC members said such behavior is not tolerated in public parks, noting that the goal of the long-running master improvement plan -- which began in the fall of 2018 when commissioners toured and assessed of several city parks -- is to make city parks safe and inviting for families with children.

FBI Stops Attack on Baltimore Electrical Plant by Neo Nazi and Girlfriend

The U.S. Justice Department charged a neo-Nazi leader Brandon Russell and his girlfriend, Sarah Clendaniel with plotting to attack a power station in Baltimore, Maryland, officials said on Monday.

Founder of a neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division Brandon Russell from Florida was arrested last week together with his associate Sarah Clendaniel from Maryland. According to the indictment, Atomwaffen is a "violent extremist group" that targeted racial minorities, the Jewish community and the LGBTQ community, as well as government and critical infrastructure.

NGO StopAntisemitism shared images of Brandon Russell and his accomplice, Sarah Clendaniel, and detailed their previous criminal activities and arrests.

Russell and Clendaniel have been charged with conspiring to damage an energy facility in Baltimore. The plan was thwarted by the FBI that cooperated with a confidential informant.

"Clendaniel and Russell conspired and took steps to shoot multiple electrical substations in the Baltimore area aiming to 'completely destroy this whole city', but these plans were stopped," said Erek Barron, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland.

Russell is a convicted felon and was on supervised release when he was arrested. He was previously sentenced to five years in prison for possessing bomb-making materials. He came under suspicion in 2017 following the arrest of his former roommate Devon Arthurs who told the FBI that Russell was plotting to attack power lines in Florida and other critical infrastructure.

Last summer the FBI informant started receiving messages from Russell and Clendaniel, who also has conviction for armed robbery, about their plan to attack energy facilities. According to the FBI, Russell guided Clendaniel to acquire a gun and to attack five electrical substations around Baltimore, Maryland.

"Sara Beth Clendaniel and Brandon Russell conspired to inflict maximum harm on the power grid, a key component of our critical infrastructure," said Thomas Sobocinski, a special agent of the FBI Baltimore field office.

"Russell provided instructions and location information. He described attacking the power transformers as the greatest thing somebody can do," he added.

Miami Dunkin Donuts Employee Fired After Antisemitic Tirade Against a Jewish Man

Yeshaya Diveroli said he went inside the Dunkin Donuts in Miami Beach when a now-former employee, Alton Rice, hurled racist and antisemitic insults at him. “I don’t give a f**k stinking ass jew,” said the Dunkin employee.

“It made me feel beneath myself,” said Diveroli.

“Yes, I’m fu**ing following you,” said the employee.

An antisemitic statement was just part of a rant caught on camera outside the Dunkin Donuts at 1606 Alton Road in Miami Beach.

“Antisemitism should never be tolerated,” said Diveroli.

Diveroli said that day, he was there to pick up his coffee and claimed when an employee saw his name on the order, the employee went on the verbal attack, even following him out of the business.

“I was shaken. I felt persecuted and that he was religiously profiling me,” said Diveroli.

“The employee is extremely aggressive toward Mr. Diveroli,” said Jose Baez, attorney for the alleged victim.

“You can see very clearly in the video that the Dunkin Donuts employee is the aggressor. That he continues to taunt him after Mr. Diveroli has locked himself inside his vehicle,” said Jasmine Rand, attorney for the alleged victim.

They said Dunkin offered Divoroli a free cup of coffee for his trouble.

Tuesday, a spokesperson for the coffee giant responded with the following statement:

“We have zero tolerance for any type of discrimination, and the language used by the former employee is unacceptable and not reflective of our brand. The franchised employee was terminated last week.”

Attorneys for Diveroli said that’s not enough and that racial sensitivity training for all employees must come next.

“Clearly, Dunkin Donuts didn’t make it clear to their employees that they are not permitted to use these racial ethnic slurs, and they clearly did not provide for Mr. Diveroli’s safety that day,” said Rand.

Tuesday morning, the attorneys for the victim said they are taking legal action against Dunkin Donuts.

Purdue Hillel Vandalized in Antisemitic Hate Crime

An object was thrown through a pane-glass window at Purdue Hillel early Sunday morning, a report filed with PUPD the same day alleges.

Melissa Frey, the Executive Director of Hillel, said that members of Hillel believe that it was a brick that was thrown through the window.

However, Capt. Song Kang of PUPD said the exact object used to break the window is unknown, but a beer bottle was found shattered on the floor of Hillel, surrounded by broken glass from the window.

The Jewish community at Purdue still feels unsafe following the incident.

“The vandalization of our building is unprecedented, and has left our community concerned and with many questions,” Frey said in an email to members of Hillel. “For our students, Purdue Hillel is a safe, welcoming, and affirming space. It should remain that way always. It is heartbreaking that beyond our windows, our sense of calm has been broken.”

Kang said PUPD has no leads on a potential suspect, however detectives are working with Hillel to retrieve and review security camera footage.

“Purdue Hillel will remain open and the Purdue Hillel staff are here to support our students,” Frey said.

Vero Beach Florida - Home to Known White Supremacists - Hit with Antisemitic Flyers

Antisemitic material in clear bags with corn kernels have been placed in several residential driveways in Vero Beach, Florida, the police department said Monday.

In a Facebook post, the agency said "we have recently received numerous calls regarding antisemitic material being placed in several residential driveways. We have collected many bags throughout the city of Vero Beach."

NGO StopAntisemitism identified the group responsible as the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The GDL is run by white supremacist Jon Minadeo II. Minadeo was featured as ‘Antisemite of the Week.’

Residents were told to dispose of the bags.

The police department said, "this is happening all over the United States."

This is the first report of antisemitic material on the Treasure Coast.

In the past month, similar bags have been placed in neighborhoods in Boca Raton, Town of Palm Beach, Atlantis and on vehicles in the employee parking lot of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Swastika Found in Seminole County Charter School Bathroom

Noelle Rivers is frustrated after she says a swastika symbol was posted inside the girls’ bathroom last week at the Galileo School of Gifted Learning Riverbend Campus.

Rivers said her daughter, who is in 7th grade, hasn’t been in school for a few days after it happened and explained her daughter has been teased several times by other students because she is Jewish.

“A kid walked up to my daughter and said ‘I hate Jews’ and another kid said ‘hey you’re Jewish’ and displayed flames on his screen, and that’s when we said ‘hey this is really getting bad, we’re not sure if we should be sending our daughter to school anymore,’” Rivers said.

Rivers claimed proper action was not taken right away. On Monday morning, the school’s principal sent an email to all parents regarding the incident.

“That’s part of the issue is that people are like middle schoolers are stupid, middle schoolers are unkind. Yes, we know that that can happen, but this is at an entirely different level of harassment,” Rivers said.

“I am writing to let you know that last week we investigated an incident on our campus where a student posted a swastika symbol in a bathroom stall in the girl’s restroom. We became aware of it through another student who was troubled by it. The swastika was actually taken down by the individual who put it up within an hour but not before it was seen by a couple students. Our staff and students were saddened that this occurred on our campus. We met with the families involved in the incident and notified law enforcement. As we continue working all angles of the case, we are meeting as a school team with our middle school teachers tomorrow morning to formulate a plan to discuss this particular issue and further intervention efforts.

As of Friday afternoon, we felt that we had met with the students and families who were directly involved in this incident and although we believe it is an isolated incident, we want to be proactive in our efforts to ensure it does not reoccur. I wanted to let you all know about this because it is a very serious issue and there has been some community conversation about it.

We are hopeful that you can have a family dialogue with your students about hurtful words and actions and the incredible impact that they can have on others. We have always known that Galileo has a special community and want all students to feel included and respected.”

Statement from Michelle Nunez, principal at Galileo School of Gifted Learning Riverbend Campus

News 6 reached out to school Principal Michelle Nunez to learn more about the incident and she said, “Our investigation found that one student was responsible for putting up the swastika. I cannot comment on discipline outcome of that student, but can say that we do follow the Seminole County Discipline Code of Conduct,”

Jewish Gravestones in Australia Desecrated with Swastika Graffiti

New South Wales' Jewish community is in shock after swastikas were found painted on gravestones in a Jewish cemetery in the Hunter Valley.

Police said up to 10 headstones were defaced with Nazi stencils or splashed with paint in what they said was a suspected hate crime.

Officers from the Port Stephens command were called to the cemetery at Louth Park near Maitland on Tuesday. Police said all gravestones were being forensically examined and investigators have appealed for information from the public.

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies chief executive Darren Bark said the "vile" markings were "deeply distressing and concerning".

"Vandalised Jewish gravestones were occurrences we witnessed in the Nazi era," he said. "There is no place in our society for this terrible symbol. It is our collective responsibility to speak up against and call out this hate, wherever it appears."

Superintendent Wayne Humphrey said the discovery was "absolutely" being treated as a hate crime.

"The degree of preparation and the extent of damage to the cemetery suggests nothing but that it's been a deliberate planned act."

The incident comes after a synagogue in the same area was found graffitied last month.

"My immediate response is a mixture of: 'Oh my God, not again' and 'How does it happen in Newcastle'?" Maitland Rabbi Yossi Rodal said.

"I'm just very, very disgusted and shocked."

Despite the alleged acts, Rabbi Rodal said he had not noticed "any change at all in terms of antisemitism in the last few years".

"We can't be more blessed to live in Australia where we do have religious freedom, but it's always in the back of your mind that we do have antisemitism," he said.

He said his grandfather and grandmother survived the Holocaust.

"These things get you a little bit uncomfortable and they remind you that you never want to be 100 per cent complacent.

"It's kind of disturbing, people mark you as being different."

Maitland Council has applied a white cleaning substance to the offensive graffiti, which will be removed after two weeks.
