According to the heavily redacted arrest report, the incident of the hit-and-run occurred on March 14, 2023 at around 6:29 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies realized that the victim who was hit had a deformity in his leg, he walked with a limp and he had a bruise on his left calf.

The arrest report states, the victim was riding with his bicycle with two other individuals. It's mentioned later in the arrest report, that one of the individuals was an 11 year old. It's unclear what the victim and the 11 year olds relationship was.

The victim was riding his bike when he noticed a Blue Toyota Corolla entered the neighborhood at a high rate of speed and turned left on 'southbound' on Headwater Circle, the arrest report reads.

Deputies contacted Elie who immediately said he did nothing wrong and the victim tried to hit him with his bike.

Deputies located Elie and in the car, the arrest report reads. In the trunk of the vehicle deputies found two unfired rounds ammunition and two bottles of prescription medication under the name 'Mikenson Germain.'

Elie was transported to PBSO Main Detention Facility on March 14.

BDS Terrorizing South African Jewish Students

Jewish students at the University of Pretoria in Johannesburg, South Africa, have become the latest target in an antisemitic campaign of harassment from student groups, including the Palestinian Solidarity Committee at the University of Pretoria (PSCUP).

The controversy arose after the South African Union of Jewish Students (SAUJS), initiated a fundraiser, which was approved and authorized by the university’s Student Representative Council (SRC), to provide financial aid to impoverished students on their campus.

Instead of being met with gratitude or cooperation, however, SAUJS was met with statements of condemnation from multiple student groups on campus in a blatantly antisemitic campaign led by the campus BDS group.

The claims of the PSCUP, as well statements from other campus organizations, charged that the funds raised by Jewish students were “blood money” and argued that the money had come from those responsible for the killing of Palestinians — despite the fact all funds were raised locally from both Jewish and non-Jewish donors.

The official statement from the PSCUP read, “this collaboration is problematic for a myriad of reasons, most importantly that SAUJS has proven themselves to be an endorser of the unjust oppression of Palestinian citizens, given their strong support for the State of Israel and their apartheid policies…We find it rather contradictory… that they (the SRC) would be willing to accept funding from a structure that was built on zionist policies and stolen land.”

These extreme allegations culminated during the campus’ “Israel Apartheid Week” on March 15 during which PSCUP organized a sit-in along with nine other campus groups, to protest against the SRC for partnering with SAUJS in the charitable efforts of the Jewish students on campus.

Under the moniker of “Students Against Apartheid,” dozens of students protested on campus with signs reading “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” openly calling for the destruction of Israel, and demanding that the SRC end their cooperation with the Jewish students on campus, purely due to fact they are “zionists.”

However, the protest was shortly disbanded as the students failed to apply for permission to hold the protest on campus, likely due to the fact the university would not have approved such a blatant display of antisemitism to take place.

Sasha Said, Chair of SAUJS at the University, stated, “(These campus groups) all said zionist presence does not belong on this campus… and they released a statement saying we are funneling in money with Palestinian blood on it… they’re mad at us because the people who are donating this money are zionists — but really, they mean Jews.”

Said, who has courageously stood up as a leader on campus in the face of such hostility, told Ynet that she responded to the student groups explaining that “when you’re attacking me as a Zionist, you’re using that as a mask because you’re attacking me as a Jew.”

Said also emphasized that while targeting Jewish students on campus is alarming, the University had been supportive of the Jewish students and would also be holding a disciplinary review of the illegal protest.

During the protest, SAUJS students gathered at the university to hold an event simultaneously with Arab Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad, who spoke about the reality in Israel as a minority and shared words of encouragement for the students facing hostility merely for who they are. Both events ended without further incident, yet the problem of antisemitic harassment continues on campuses throughout South Africa and the entire world from anti-Israel student groups.

Liora Rez, head of the watchdog organization StopAntisemitism, which monitors antisemitic events globally, told Ynet that the targeting of Jewish students is a common trend of self-declared “pro-Palestinian” groups. “From the US to the UK, to South Africa, we see the 'Free Palestine' movement doing nothing to bring peace to the region yet successfully isolate and target Jewish students at each of the campuses they hit.”

Jewish students in South Africa report particular hostility on campus as the BDS movement is very influential in South Africa, and the blatant nature of antisemitism is often more extreme and pronounced than anti-Israel manifestations in other countries. “Israel Apartheid Week”, began on March 13 and will continue through March 24 across campuses in South Africa.

White Supremacists 'GDL' Targeting High School Students in Long Island

Suffolk Police say antisemitic and political flyers were found on students' cars near Bayport-Blue Point High School.

The superintendent said in a letter to parents that students immediately brought the flyers to the attention of school officials, who alerted Suffolk police, stating "Bayport-Blue Point works to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports the needs for students and staff. Any reports of incidents that work against that are taken extremely seriously. Those found responsible for the dissemination of these flyers will be subject to strict disciplinary and/or action."

NGO StopAntisemitism, a leading grassroots organization tackling antisemitism, identified the flyers belonging to the white supremacist group, the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The GDL’s leader, Jon Minadeo II, was named StopAntisemitism’s “Antisemite of the Week” twice. This is not the first time the GDL has targeted the Long Island residents. Last summer, the antisemitic group littered similar leaflets across Long Island neighborhoods.

Suffolk police said the incident was not criminal. As a precaution though, authorities patrolled the area around the school.

Suffolk County police tell News 12 they meet regularly with different groups and task forces to combat and address concerns in the community about antisemitism.

They are asking the public with any information about the incident near Bayport-Blue Point High School to give their department a call.

Pair of Swastikas Found at Long Island Area Middle School Bathroom

Students at Woodmere Middle School alerted school officials to a pair of swastikas that were found in a boys’ bathroom on March 14 and 16, Hewlett-Woodmere district officials said.

In a letter sent to the parents and guardians of students on Thursday, Al Bauer, the school’s principal, said that the Nassau County police were contacted and the school and police “are working collaboratively” to decide on the next steps in the investigation.

“Please know that we take incidents such as this very seriously and immediately implemented interventions after a symbol of hate was found on Tuesday,” Bauer stated, adding that earlier in the week counselor and the middle school social worker spoke about “tolerance and acceptance during recesses for all grade levels.”

In the next two weeks, Bauer said that all students in the school — sixth, seventh and eighth grades — will attended assemblies that will have a Holocaust survivor as a guest speaker — “who will underscore our commitment to respecting all individuals and celebrating diversity,” Bauer wrote.

Police officers from the 4th Precinct, which is in Hewlett, will speak with students regarding the seriousness of actions like these.

Bauer said the school will continue to educate its students, but urged parents to be a willing partner.

“It is imperative that you collaborate with us and speak with your child about tolerance, acceptance, and defacing school property with abhorrent messages and symbols,” he stated. “Should the responsible individual or individuals be found, swift and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.”

UK Neo-Nazi Who Wanted to ‘Firebomb a Synagogue’ Jailed

A member of a British far-right messaging group who called for a synagogue to be “firebombed” was sentenced on Wednesday for sharing a video on how to build a replica machine gun, Sky News reported.

James Farrell, 32, of Glasgow, was a member of the extremist Oaken Hearth chat group, where he shared antisemitic, neo-Nazi and racist posts, according to prosecutors.

The group spoke in positive terms about far-right attacks, including the mass shootings at two Christchurch, New Zealand mosques in 2019, of which Farrell praised. He also wrote of his approval of the attack by Norwegian neo-Nazi Anders Breivik in 2011, in which 77 people were killed, and applauded the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing committed by Timothy McVeigh.

Members of the group shared antisemitic and pro-Hitler propaganda, according to prosecutors, with Farrell reportedly stating at one point: "It's about time someone firebombed a synagogue."

The prosecution said that the extremist Telegram channel, which the defendant joined in March 2021, had been infiltrated by an undercover police officer.

The judge said that Farrell, a former security guard, had not shown remorse for his actions. "As the criminal justice social work report states, you continue to adhere to your far-right wing views.”

Farrell pleaded guilty to a breach of the Terrorism Act but said that the video on how to use a 3D printer to make a replica of a MAC-11 machine gun was an “edgy, cool video.”

On Wednesday, the Glasgow High Court judge sentenced him to two years and eight months behind bars.

The judge said that by posting the video, Farrell made it “directly available to extremists and potential terrorists and encouraged or induced or assisted them.”

Turkish Students Performed Nazi Salutes in Soccer Match Against Istanbul's Sole Jewish School

Turkish Jewish leaders say they are taking action after students at Istanbul’s Üsküdar American Academy performed the Nazi salute during a soccer game against Istanbul’s sole Jewish day school.

The students from the American Academy considered one of Istanbul’s most elite, delivered the gesture at the game on Tuesday as a taunt following goals by the Ulus Jewish School team, according to reports on Twitter and in Avlaremoz, a Turkish Jewish media outlet.

Turkey’s official Jewish communal organization condemned the incident. The Jewish organization said that it was in contact with the American school’s board and that “necessary initiatives will be taken,” though it did not specify what those initiatives might be.

The American Academy is also investigating what unfolded at the game, according to a statement it issued on Wednesday.

“We would like to emphasize that we stand against all kinds of discrimination in accordance with our institutional and educational philosophy.” the statement said. “We have urgently contacted the school officials of Ulus Private Jewish High School, conveyed our regrets, and initiated the necessary investigation.”

The incident has sent shockwaves through Istanbul’s Jewish community, which includes families with connections to both schools.

“As an Üsküdar American High School graduate, I do not want to believe this behavior of my school’s students towards the students of my son’s school.” one Jewish graduate, Roksi Levent, wrote on Twitter. “If it is true, I condemn it, and I am deeply saddened to see my school come to this.”

Üsküdar American Academy was founded in 1876 by an American Christian missionary organization operating in the Ottoman Empire. The school teaches mostly in English and boasts that its graduates largely attend leading foreign universities. It does not have an affiliation with the U.S. government, as some other American schools abroad do, according to a spokesperson from the U.S. consulate in Istanbul.

French Journalists Suspended for Praising Hitler and Supporting Terror against Israel

Four journalists working for the Arabic service of international broadcaster France 24 have been suspended pending an investigation into allegations of antisemitic incitement.

The announcement follows the publication of a report by the media monitoring organization CAMERA outlining the antisemitic outbursts of the four reporters in their social media feeds, including praise for Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and support for Palestinian terrorist operations against Israel.

In a statement confirming the suspension, France 24 said the decision “taken in the context of this situation aims to protect the integrity of the work of all the Arabic-speaking editorial staff of France 24,  whose editorial content, both on the air and in digital environments, makes it a balanced channel, non-partisan, verifying the facts and cultivating constructive debate thanks to the professionalism of its journalists.”

The broadcaster added: “As in all the languages of France 24, the Arabic-speaking channel is illustrated every day by its commitment to the fight against antisemitism, racism, and discrimination.”

The investigation into the journalists will be conducted by France Médias Monde, a state-owned company that supervises French public broadcasters, the news outlet Le Figaro reported on Wednesday.

Released last week, the CAMERA report combed through the social media feeds of Joelle Maroun, the network’s correspondent in Beirut, Jerusalem-based Laila Odeh, Geneva correspondent Dina Abi-Saab and general reporter Sharif Bibi.

Among Maroun’s antisemitic tweets was a joke about the Holocaust. “They asked Hitler, ‘What did you do with the Jews?’ He said, ‘Nothing extraordinary, [just having] barbecue with the guys,” she tweeted. On another occasion, she tweeted, “Rise, sir Hitler, rise, there are a few people that need to be burned.”

Odeh — the sister of a Palestinian Fatah terrorist killed during a clash with the IDF — separately tweeted: “Because I am a Palestinian refugee, I demand of the Arab League to arm me so that I retrieve my land which Israel has unlawfully occupied. And because I am a sister of a martyr, I demand of the Arab League to arm me so that I retrieve the body of my martyr brother.” She also described Moshe Agadi, a 58-year-old father of four who was killed during a Hamas rocket strike, as an “Israeli settler in Ashkelon.”

CAMERA’s executive director, Andrea Levin, said in a statement that she commended “France 24 for promptly investigating this serious situation, and we hope that the news outlet cuts ties with these apologists for Nazism and terrorism.”

Levin commented that “professional journalists are expected to hold up basic standards of objectivity, which obviously includes not cheerleading for Hitler and Hamas-inspired terrorism.”

Michigan School Forced to Apologize After Anti-Israel Activist Goes On Antisemitic Rant

UPDATE April 28, 2023: Bloomfield Hills High School Principal Lawrence Stroughter has resigned in the wake of a diversity assembly last month that parents and students say has created fear and intimidation; more here.

*** *** ***

A Michigan high school principal apologized for featuring an anti-Israel activist at a "student-led diversity assembly" but didn’t mention Israel or Jewish people in the apology.

Anti-Israel activist and failed Democratic congressional candidate Huwaida Arraf "deviated from the prompts" at a Bloomfield Hills High School "diversity assembly" Tuesday for 10th-grade students and went on a rant against Israel and the Jewish people.

Arraf, who lost the Democratic primary for Michigan’s 10th district that ultimately went to GOP Rep. John James, is known for being a co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), an anti-Israel group that was investigated by the FBI for possible ties to terrorists.

On Tuesday night, Principal Lawrence Stroughter apologized to parents, students, staff, and the community for Arraf’s off-script rant targeting Jewish people and Israel, noting the "diversity assembly" was a "student-led" event.

However, in the lengthy apology, Stroughter never mentioned the Jewish people or Israel.

"Today, a BHHS student-led diversity assembly was held for all BHHS students. In preparation for this assembly, our student organizers and administrators met with each speaker to discuss the intent of the assembly and the prompts," the principal wrote.

"At the diversity assembly for the 10th graders, one of the speakers deviated from the prompts," Stroughter added. "Without prior knowledge of any of the organizers, the speaker discussed the conflict in Gaza from their own personal political perspective and experience.

"This discussion was outside of the parameters of the assembly and was addressed by the high school administration immediately after the speaker left the stage."

Stroughter said the school denounces "any speech that targets individuals or groups based on religion" and that school officials "are sorry for the harm that was caused to our community as a result of this speaker’s message."

"We acknowledge that our work towards an equitable school community is always ongoing, and we still have more work to do," Stroughter said.

The principal added that the goal of the "student organizers was to help students understand how discrimination affects people of differing religions, races, abilities, and sexualities and to build empathy within our community."

The principal also shared several quotes "to convey a few of the positive messages" from the event speakers but did not denote which speakers made which comments.

Arraf and fellow ISM co-founder Adam Shapiro penned an article that promoted using nonviolent resistance against Israelis in tandem with violence — regardless of their ties to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

"The Palestinian resistance must take on a variety of characteristics — both nonviolent and violent," the article states. "But, most importantly, it must develop a strategy involving both aspects."

NGO StopAntisemitism, the leading watchdog reporting on antisemitism around the nation, shared the school’s inadequate apology to their followers on Twitter.

"No other successful nonviolent movement was able to achieve what it did without a concurrent violent movement. In India, militants attacked British outposts and interests while Gandhi conducted his campaign, while the Black Panther Movement and its earlier incarnations existed side-by-side with the Civil Rights Movement in the United States," the ISM co-founders added.

Additionally, the ISM leaders detailed the use of "violent" resistance to achieve goals.

"Violent resistance is when an armed Palestinian fighter shoots an Israeli who is oppressing him," they wrote,

They did not specify Israeli soldiers, but rather "any Israeli deemed to be 'oppressing' a Palestinian."

"When Palestinian radical Huwaida Arraf went off script at a Bloomfield [Hills] High School diversity assembly, school administrators should have stepped in and immediately stopped the event," Liora Rez, executive director of antisemitism watchdog StopAntisemitism, told Fox News Digital.

"Instead, they allowed her to finish her radical anti-Zionist remarks, subjecting her heavily Jewish audience of 15- and 16-year-olds to hate, and later issued an unacceptably anodyne apology to parents that failed to mention Jews or Israel.

"Ms. Arraf, a prominent BDS supporter who falsely refers to Israel as an apartheid state, should have been properly vetted by the event’s faculty sponsor," Rez added. "StopAntisemitism calls on Bloomfield High to issue a proper apology that acknowledges the pain Ms. Arraf caused through their negligence and to review their procedures for vetting future speakers."

Rep. James, who won the House seat over the Democrat who defeated Arraf in the primary, told Fox News Digital he's "always said we must stand by our allies."

"That includes leaving no public space between the United States and our friends in Israel," James said. "We must dispel any hint of hate, racism, and antisemitism in our ranks."

In a statement to Fox News Digital, school officials apologized again for hosting Arraf and said they were "deeply regretful" for the negative impact caused to the community by the assembly.

A spokesperson for Bloomfield Hills High School also said the school had been working with the Anti-defamation League (ADL) "No Place for Hate" for two years and planned the assembly as part of that work.

"At Bloomfield Hills Schools, a safe, supportive, and inclusive student experience is at the center of our educational mission. The high school planned a diversity assembly with the goal of creating equity, awareness, and space for all students," the spokesperson said.

"During this assembly, one of the external guest speakers went outside of our agreed-upon parameters and discussed their personal political perspective. This caused harm to many of our students. We apologize and are deeply regretful that our students, staff, and community were negatively impacted by this assembly.

"As a school community, we are collaborating with our ADL partners and religious leaders. Our administrators, counselors, and social workers are available to talk to students and staff. We are actively listening to the concerns of our students, families, and community.

"Equity and inclusion will continue to be a top priority for Bloomfield Hills Schools, as it has for the past several years. The district will emerge stronger and better as a result of these conversations, undeterred from its commitment to all students and to foster a school environment of safety and support for all our students."

In 2010, Arraf's ISM was regarded by the ADL as one of the top 10 anti-Israel organizations in the country. The FBI has also investigated ISM for possible links to terrorists, but FBI documents The Intercept reported on in 2020 did not detail any charges levied.

ISM was also criticized by the ADL in 2014 for the group's response to the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens. ISM said the teens were "missing" and dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attribution of the murders to the internationally recognized terrorist organization Hamas.

As an ISM co-founder, the former Democratic congressional candidate also assisted in the organization of the 2010 Gaza Strip flotilla that the Israeli military pushed back against.

Arraf told Fox News Digital in a Wednesday statement that she "was honored to take part in BHHS's Diversity Assembly -- a wonderful program that was organized primarily by students (mainly young women) of color."

"I was warmly welcomed by students, staff, and the administration alike, and thanked for sharing my experiences.  My message addressed the harms caused by racism and discrimination, and denying others the same rights that you seek for yourself; rights that all people deserve," Arraf said. "To the extent that anyone was upset to hear about what is happening to Palestinians, they should be. But, it seems to me that their problem is with the policies of the state of Israel, not with me."

"It's unfortunate that certain interest groups are now harassing the BHHS administration and student organizers over my participation.  These groups do a great disservice to our students' education. These are the same forces that have been working to shut down Palestinian voices for decades, enabling Israel's human rights abuses. They are the same forces that try to paint the issue as one of Jews vs. Palestinians. It's not. It's one of freedom, human rights, and equality vs. occupation, colonization, and oppression, and tens of thousands of Jews stand together with Palestinians on the side of freedom, human rights, and equality.  I've had the privilege to work with many of them, something that I also spoke about at the assembly."

What is happening to Palestinians is a crime against humanity, and we -- Jews, Palestinians, and all people of conscience -- will not be silenced," she added.

Antisemitic Flyers Stun Connecticut Residents

Residents and government officials are up in arms after racist, antisemitic flyers were left in the driveway of homes in several Stamford neighborhoods over the weekend.

The flyers containing offensive information were left in driveways in the Pepper Ridge, Belltown, and Springdale neighborhoods in Stamford, Connecticut on Saturday, March 11, and Sunday, March 12.

The Stamford-New Canaan-Darien branch of the United Jewish Federation said the flyers were left by the Nationalist Social Club or NSC-131, a New England-based neo-Nazi group with chapters in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, and Vermont.

NGO StopAntisemitism has been tracking the group’s neo-nazi leader, Chris Hood. Hood was previously listed as the “Antisemite of the Week” due to his involvement with multiple antisemitic banner & flyer drops around the New England area.

In 2022, Hood was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace over a physical brawl at a protest. In 2023, he was slapped with a civil complaint after he hung an antisemitic banner over a New Hampshire bypass.

Chris Hood is no stranger to disrupting the residents in Connecticut. StopAntisemitism caught the white supremacist and his group engaging in an antisemitic rally.

Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons, who met with state representatives and leaders from faith and ethnic communities, as well as the police department, said the city has "zero tolerance" for this sort of activity.

“The City of Stamford has a zero tolerance for hate speech against any person or group, whether it is based on race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, gender identity, or any other affiliation, and we vehemently condemn this disturbing behavior in our community," Simmons said.

Stamford Police did not respond for comment but posted on Facebook that they are investigating the incidents with the State Attorney's Office.

Georgia Senator and Faith Leaders Condemn Antisemitic 'GDL' Flyers

U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff condemned the antisemitic flyers dropped on Athens residents’ doorsteps two weeks ago, joining the ranks of local officials and faith leaders who’ve also condemned the flyers.

Flagpole reported last month that Cobbham, Boulevard, and Normaltown residents found the antisemitic literature bagged in their driveways the morning of Feb. 27. They were also found in the Newtown and Chicopee-Dudley neighborhoods, according to the Athens Banner-Herald. A UGA political science professor told Flagpole they were most likely the work of a relatively small and unorganized group called the Goyim Defense League.

NGO StopAntisemitism, a grassroots watchdog organization combating antisemitism, has been tracking the white supremacist group, the Goyim Defense League. The league’s leader, Jon Minadeo II, was recently cited in Florida for littering antisemitic material to the residents of West Palm Beach. Florida recently advanced a bill that makes it illegal to litter antisemitic flyers into people’s yards.

“Athens’ Jewish community will not be intimidated by cowardly acts of hate. I condemn in the strongest terms recent despicable attempts to sow fear and division with hateful flyers delivered to families across Athens. Georgians are united in our rejection of bigotry,” Ossoff, who is Georgia’s first Jewish senator, said in a statement Tuesday.

A group of Athens faith leaders also recently wrote an open letter expressing their support for the Jewish people.

Mayor Kelly Girtz said Mar. 1 that the incidents were under investigation. However, it’s unlikely a crime occurred. Dunwoody police said last month that such literature is protected by the First Amendment.

Update April 24th: A 3rd man from Connecticut, Cristhian Zapata, was also arrested for making threats to kill Volusia County Florida Sheriff Michael Chitwood on 4chan; more here.

A South Brunswick, NJ man was arrested and charged Monday with making threats against a Florida sheriff who has bene targeted by an antisemitic group.

Richard Golden, 38, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick made a threat in a 4Chan chat room in February against Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood, officials said.

Golden was arrested 1 p.m. Monday at the Tanglewood Court home where he lives with his parents. His electronics were seized, according to South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond J. Hayducka.

The threat was made in response to a February news conference in which Chitwood described the hate group Goyim Defense League (GDL) as "cowardly scumbags." The sheriff said members of the GDL put antisemitic fliers on the property of Jewish homeowners and hung banners from pedestrian bridges during the Daytona 500 race.

"Just shoot Chitwood in the head he stops beng a problem. They have to find a new guy to be the new problem. But shooting Chitwood in the head solves the problem immediately. Just shoot Chitwood in the head. Murder him," Chitwood saiid Golden wrote in the chat.

The Central Florida Intelligence Exchange picked up on the threat and began tracking its origin back to New Jersey. South Brunswick police went to Golden's home March 1 and found him to be anti-government and anti-law enforcement.

"Like every other active shooter that we come across he's a marginalized member of society who spends hours and hours in these extremist chat rooms," Chitwood said. "Here's a clown sitting in his bedroom who's indoctrinated by this bulls**t who thinks the best way to solve the problem is to put a bullet in my head."

In the same chat, Golden called Chitwood a cross-dresser who visits small children. GDL's fliers called Chitwood a "cross dressing sheriff" and included pictures of him wearing a bra.

But Chitwood, who annually appears in the outrageous garb for charity, hit back. "Hey losers, here are a few more photos you can use," Chitwood posted on his Twitter account.

Chitwood said he is looking forward to meeting Golden when he arrives in the Central Florida county not far from Disney World. "One of the first faces he's gonna see welcoming him to Volusia County and the Volusia County Jail, the happiest place on Earth," Chitwood said.

Golden is charged with threat of serious bodily injury or death. He was held at the Middlesex County Correction Center on a fugitive from justice warrant charge pending extradition to Florida.

Hayducka credited the cooperation between all the law enforcement agencies involved in tracking down the threats to Chitwood.

“The anonymous nature of the internet may make people feel they can say anything, but if you make threats or put people in fear we will use all our resources to track you down,” Hayducka said. "Yesterday showed that being 974 miles away from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office was no distance too great for the teamwork of law enforcement."

Video Captures Swastika at New Jersey Elementary School

Police investigating the discovery of a swastika on the grounds of a K-5 school in Westwood are reviewing video evidence, the district superintendent said.

The symbol of hate was "created with twigs" and "was about one foot long by one foot wide," Westwood Regional Schools Supt. Jill Mortimer wrote in an email to parents on Monday, March 13.

School officials immediately reported it to police, then worked with them to identify those responsible, Mortimer said.

"There was video evidence," she added.

Principals at other schools in the districts checked their grounds and didn't find anything similar, Mortimer wrote.

The schools chief said her office also contacted the Jewish Foundation of Northern New Jersey, whose organizers are "activating their teams to provide resources and assistance to us."

The symbol also was removed, she added.

"This act is a hate crime; it is not freedom of speech," Mortimer wrote.

She asked for parents' support in "spreading a message of kindness and respect for all."

"We will provide more information when it becomes available," Mortimer concluded.

Last October, an underage saboteur from another district used the online account of a Westwood Regional High School student to email hateful messages to most of the victim’s classmates – among them, an image of a Ku Klux Klansman accompanied by an antisemitic caption.

Stanford Investigates Jewish Student's Dorm Defaced by Swastikas and Hitler Imagery

Stanford University is condemning an antisemitic incident on campus in which swastikas and an image resembling Adolf Hitler were left on a student's dorm door.

The images were discovered on whiteboard affixed to the door Friday morning in what the Stanford administration described as a "brazen threat to an individual student," the school said in a letter to students. The campus public safety department is investigating it as a hate crime.

The school also posted a notice to its Protected Identity Harm site, where incidents of hateful and discriminatory conduct can be reported.

"Purposely intimidating and threatening people based on protected identities is antithetical to Stanford’s values," the notice said. "Antisemitism and other acts of hate and intolerance are unacceptable on this campus."

The school urged anyone with information about the perpetrator to contact public safety.

NGO StopAntisemitism, the leading non-partisan US-based organization fighting & exposing antisemitism, shared their outrage on Twitter. Students nationwide often share anonymous information regarding similar hate incidents with the organization.

A men's bathroom stall was similarly defaced with antisemitic images in a campus building a week before the dorm door incident. The school reported that it found a swastika with "KKK" surrounding it carved into the wall of a handicapped stall on March 3.

And on Feb. 28, a different restroom stall was vandalized with multiple swastikas, the N-word, and the letters “KKK," the school said.

Stanford said both incidents were considered hate crimes under California law.

"Vandalizing property particularly with words intended to threaten and intimidate individuals (specifically in this case Black and Jewish communities) is contrary to Stanford’s values," the school statement said. "It is absolutely unacceptable in our community."

The university has not been able to identify a perpetrator in those incidents.

Florida Man Terrorizes a Jewish Community Center, Smashes Rabbi's Car

Update April 24: Cape Coral police have announced the arrest of 51 year old Maron Mark Raymond; more here.

The Rabbi of the Chabad Jewish Center of Cape Coral says an “angry man” used bricks to try and break in the front door just after their Saturday services ended.

While many of the worshipers had already left, several were still inside, according to Rabbi Yossi Labkowski.

“Then we hear this loud noise,” he said. “I was approaching the door and I see somebody picking up a brick and just yanking it, throwing it at the door.” The man threw the brick at the front door of the Jewish center several times. Before he did that, he was seen knocking over a decorative painting of a menorah in the parking lot.

He couldn’t break through the impact-resistant glass, so he turned his attention to the Rabbi’s car sitting in the parking lot. Again, using bricks to smash the front windshield and passenger side door.

Thankfully no one was hurt, but the thought of ‘What could have happened?’ flashed through their minds. Antisemitic attacks at Jewish places of worship are, unfortunately, something worshipers at the Chabad Jewish Center of Cape Coral are aware of but hope never happens.

Both the Rabbi and Ben-Haim think the Jewish community and their Jewish center were targeted. They both call this a hate crime. “In my opinion, it’s a hate crime,” Ben-Haim said.

“Absolutely,” added the Rabbi. “The fact that he knocked down the menorah first and then he came to this door. He could’ve gone to any other business, he came to this door. We don’t live in fear. We are here and we will continue our work and if we have to protect ourselves, we will protect ourselves.”

The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating, according to Rabbi Yossi. Officers collected evidence, including the bricks used by the man to try and beak in.

NGO StopAntisemitism shared a description of the attacker to their followers on Twitter. The organization condemns the hateful actions of the individual and stands in solidarity with the Jewish community of Florida.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 40-50 years old, bald, and drove away in a gold-colored Ford SUV.

More Antisemitic 'Don't Say Jew' Flyers Littered Across West Palm Beach Compliments of GDL

More than 50 antisemitic flyers were distributed in a West Palm Beach neighborhood Saturday afternoon, which is the second time hateful messages have been distributed in this neighborhood in less than two months.

Five people face multiple citations for the antisemitic messages distributed on Saturday.

People in this neighborhood in the northeast section of West Palm Beach say they were shocked and appalled to see these antisemitic, hate-filled messages.

"It was disgusting, it was vile, it was clearly antisemitic, clearly has no place in the Old Northwood neighborhood. It’s not what we’re about in this neighborhood and it’s not what we stand for,” said Kathy.

"It is outrageous to think that somebody out there is going to go out there and throw things and try to deliver a hateful message,” said Victor Alcantara of the Northwood Shores neighborhood, which was also targeted on Saturday.

The flyers came in plastic bags, weighed down by pellets. Among the hate-filled messages were statements against a proposed bill to expand hate-crime penalties in Florida.

NGO StopAntisemitism warned Florida residents of The Goyim Defense League’s (GDL) leader, Jon Minadeo II’s plan to distribute antisemitic flyers to protest the bill combating antisemitic literature from being littered around the state. The bill would also make it illegal to project imagery or phrases onto buildings without permission.

Police say the five men who did this used a U-Haul pickup truck. They were all found and all have received multiple citations, including for littering and pedestrian violations.

Investigators say the men also yelled racial slurs at the officers as they were receiving citations.

"We certainly have no place for hate in West Palm Beach," said Mike Jachles, the public information officer with the West Palm Beach Police Department. "This is a welcoming city. It’s a diverse city and the message is if they want to do something like this do it somewhere else or don’t do it at all, actually, so we will enforce the laws that are on the books."

The men who received citations are 60-year-old David Young Kim of West Palm Beach, 40-year-old Jon Eugene Minadeo of West Palm Beach, 57-year-old Jeffrey Kidder Allen of Wisconsin, 46-year-old Brian Keith Hulliger of Bradenton, and 33-year-old Nicholas Allen Bysheim of Maryland. Kim and Minadeo do not live in the Old Northwood neighborhood.

Nicholas Bysheim is currently working through the legal issues from his arrest in November of 2022. Bysehim has been unable to find an attorney to represent him for an additional littering citation he received in January of this year. Bysheim, who goes by the name ‘Jehu’ has assisted Jon Minadeo II in several of these antisemitic missions.

The West Palm Beach Police Department says they could be able to give the men responsible more citations if more people here in the Old Northwood neighborhood come forward and tell the department what they know. The department can be reached at 561-822-1900.

The West Palm Beach Police Department is working with the Palm Beach County state attorney in this investigation.
