Antisemitic Blood Libel Taught in New Princeton University Course

A course at Princeton University will include a book in its syllabus that claims that IDF had been harvesting Palestinian organs, Ynet initially reported on Sunday.

Its upcoming fall semester class, Decolonizing Trauma Studies from the Global South, will be including the book The Healing Humanities: The Right to Maim by Jsbir Puar. Its summary states that Israel is allegedly “supplementing its right to kill with the right to maim,” the report quoted the book as saying.

In November 2020, Jewish watchdog organization, StopAntisemitism featured Puar as their ‘Antisemite of the Week.’ Puar has a history of falsely accusing Israel of Human Right violations. In 2016, Puar claimed that Israel harvests the organs of non-Jews and assassinates Palestinian teenagers. She also accused Israel of denying Palestinians resources to stunt their growth.

Puar is a professor and Graduate Director of Women's and Gender Studies at Rutgers University, according to her website, and she has consistently accused Israel of ethnic cleansing Palestinians and that her book caused controversy when it was released six years ago, Ynet reported.

Puar also claimed that the supposed organ mining mentioned was used by the IDF for "scientific research," the report quotes her as saying.

Non-partisan organization StopAntisemitism had given Princeton a "B-" score in its grading of American universities last year based on antisemitic climate, and stated that at the institution, "students do not always trust the administration to prioritize their safety and that though the majority of respondents feel they can be open about their Jewish identity, they do not feel comfortable expressing their support for Israel."

As for the new course, Puar's book was approved by the university's Near Eastern Studies Department faculty. However, the report stated that other academics were displeased with the course content and that it provided "zero educational value."

Georgia Cities Continue to be Targeted with Antisemitic Propaganda

Alpharetta police are investigating antisemitic flyers that were distributed in several neighborhoods overnight.

Mayor Jim Gilvin said in a statement on Sunday that hate has no place in the city. “I am disturbed and deeply disappointed by these flyers,” he said. “As a City, we fully support the freedoms provided by the First Amendment, but denounce antisemitism in all its forms. Alpharetta is a diverse, welcoming, and inviting community, one that values and supports our differences.”

The advocacy organization fighting antisemitism - StopAntisemitism - has attributed the antisemitic flyers to the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The league travels the country distributing these hateful flyers targeted Jewish communities. In June, StopAntisemitism reported similar flyers that were found in surrounding neighborhoods.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety at (678) 297-6300. You can also leave a tip online here.

The flyers are the latest in a wave of antisemitic statements being spread through metro Atlanta this year. In late April, residents in the Lake Claire, Candler Park and Kirkwood neighborhoods found similar papers around town. And a month later, hundreds of people in Roswell’s Edenwilde subdivision woke up to hateful flyers at their doors. Sandy Springs and Dunwoody had also been targeted in February.

Antisemitic 'Goyim Defense League' (GDL) Flyers Found in North Carolina Neighborhoods

Hundreds of antisemitic flyers appeared in at least five north Raleigh neighborhoods overnight. The flyers link to a website to an organization called Goyim Defense League, which is currently tracked as a hate group.

One woman, who wished to remain anonymous, discovered a multitude of fliers left on neighbors' driveways while taking an evening walk in Fairfax Hills. Just three minutes away, another woman reported more hate flyers in her own neighborhood of Hickory Hills. Just a few more minutes away, another neighbor near North Hills reported finding one of the flyers.

North Ridge also woke up to antisemitic flyers in their driveways. According to neighbors, there's a notable Jewish population in North Ridge due to its walkable distance to the Orthodox Synagogue on Falls of Neuse Road. The synagogue appears to be very close to all of the neighborhoods targeted.

A woman and her daughter also found the flyers in Quail Hollow Sunday morning.

One neighbor called the police, and they transferred him to 911.

This is far from the first time antisemitic flyers have been distributed around Raleigh's neighborhoods. Less than a year ago, Fairfax Hills residents woke up to flyers linked to the same organization.

The advocacy organization fighting antisemitism - StopAntisemitism - has attributed the antisemitic flyers to the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The league travels the country distributing these hateful flyers targeted Jewish communities.

The Goyim Defense League, according to message boards, said their plan is to place the flyers in middle class neighborhoods which could catch the attention of local news.

Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said a person caught distributing these flyers could be charged with ethnic intimidation if the it contains a threat. That's a Class 1 misdemeanor, meaning someone convicted of that crime could face up to 120 days in jail.

Jewish Students Threatened at Knifepoint In Australia

Jewish Students from the Leibler Yavneh College in Australia were traveling on a public bus when they were abused with antisemitic obscenities by a knife-wielding man on Thursday.

A student in Grade 9, aged 14-15 years old, recounted how they and 10 of their friends were accosted by the man.

“Me and about 10 other Leibler Yavneh College students, some of which were primary school kids were getting on the 604 bus on the corner of Clarence St. and Brentani outside our school at around 4:20, this Thursday,” the student explained. “But when we sat down, the only other passenger was sitting at the very back of the bus mumbling to himself.

“We noticed that he was mentioning Jews, money, and drugs, and we were ignoring him. However, he was getting louder and louder, to the point of shouting 'Nazi' and my friends heard him call himself a Nazi."

In describing the self-proclaimed “Nazi”, the student said, “He was speaking in a very heavy Eastern European accent.”

“Then out of his bag, he pulled a massive, serrated knife approximately 6 inches in length.”

Aware of the danger, the students immediately alerted the bus driver of the situation but their ordeal didn’t end there.

“One of the boys on the bus told everyone to run and get off, and we were and yelling at the bus driver ‘open the door, he has a knife.’ The driver let us out, before the bus stop, but the man followed us off the bus.

“We were running so we were ahead of him, but he got a soccer ball out of his bag and threw it at us. He then walked down a side street away from us.

“We got back on the same bus at the Glen Huntly bus stop, at around 4:25-4:30. Thankfully no one was hurt, just very shaken up.”

Former Chief of Staff to Brooklyn DA Under Investigation for Antisemitic Harassment

A former chief of staff to one of New York City’s leading prosecutors will face scrutiny as an investigation begins into accusations of discrimination, abusive behavior, improper use of state resources and bigoted statements.

Brooklyn’s District Attorney Eric Gonzalez told his staff in an internal memo that he and they “need to do more” after the New York Post reported last week that staffers said the recently promoted “confidential executive ADA” Maritza Ming, 51, had engaged in a range of unprofessional acts, some which might place her in legal jeopardy.

Ming is accused of calling her Jewish co-workers “privileged,” claiming that there were “too many Jews in power.” Other allegations include bullying, insults, using profanity, trying to start a fistfight at a retirement party and ordering others to do personal errands. This range of conduct allegedly inspired many in the office to resign.

Employees for Gonzalez said they were afraid to report the abuse since those who handled Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) cases reported to Ming.

The District Attorney, responding in his memo, stated that “change is needed to address” the problem. He said he would bring in an outside consultant and that future officers focusing on discrimination claims would report directly to him.

Ming currently receives a salary of $210,000. Two EEO investigations started over Ming’s alleged behavior against Jews. One was closed without finding a violation; the other remains pending.

Vandals Deface Colorado Rec Space with Antisemitic Messaging

Antisemitic graffiti and vandalism was found on Friday, Aug. 4 at High Chaparral Open Space.

The vandals tagged swastikas and a graffiti image of Adolf Hitler on a sign and along the sidewalk of the open space, which is located on the east side near Stetson Hills Boulevard and North Powers Boulevard.

Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services said it is working to clean up the graffiti. FOX21 News reached out to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) to find out if the graffiti is being investigated by police, and we are waiting to hear back.

NYPD Arrest Man Involved in Antisemitic Vandalism at Brooklyn Yoga Studio

William Klare

A man suspected of antisemitic vandalism that damaged ‘Hot Hell’ yoga studio in Brooklyn was arrested by police after security camera footage of his rampage was distributed by the authorities.

Bronx resident William Klare was taken into custody on Friday and expected to be indicted on charges of burglary, harassment and criminal trespass, along with additional hate crime charges.

Klare ripped down a mezuzah from a door frame, drew a large swastika on a chalkboard, and wrote a message expressing support for Nazis.

A local Brooklyn man who recognized Klare from the security footage, which was published by the police, called 911. He followed Klare around the neighborhood for about 45 minutes, giving directions to dispatchers over the phone until officers arrested him.

The yoga studio’s owner, Katia Riva, saidt she and her staff “all feel such relief and happiness. We are very glad they got him, it’s great. He’s getting what he deserved.” Riva, who is not Jewish, said that she had received the mezuzah as a gift from a client. She added that because she is from Russia, she initially thought that her national origin was the reason for the vandalism.

“I’m upset, and I feel violated,” she told Gothamist. She added she believed the attack was antisemitic, as she has other religious symbols displayed in the studio that were not touched.

In 2018 Klare was arrested after breaking into a home in Long Island.

Two Dallas Area Policeman Fired for Swastika Photo

One of two Southlake police officers fired last month texted a photo of the other smiling after he drew a swastika and lightning bolts, which typically represent Hitler’s paramilitary forces, according to documents obtained Wednesday by The Dallas Morning News.

The chief terminated Capt. James Preston Logan and Sgt. Jonathan Macheca and last month after an investigation into the drawing, according to the documents. The records allege Macheca made the illustration on a whiteboard during a break from hiring prospective officers at a training center. Logan is accused of snapping the photo and sending it to other officers and accidentally including a member of the public, the documents say.

The documents do not include any images of the drawing. The lightning bolts are still used as a sign of white supremacy. It was unclear whether the officers had attorneys. They could not be reached for comment Wednesday evening.

The drawing included the phrase “SSRO,” which appears to combine the designation for Hitler’s paramilitary forces, known as the SS, and SRO, meaning a school resource officer, according to the documents. Logan was a captain for the school resource division, while Macheca was assigned to the training unit.

Macheca and Logan violated several department policies including “unlawful harassment and discrimination” and “unbecoming conduct,” according to the documents.

The documents obtained by The News through a public-records request publicly revealed the officers’ names for the first time and also identified a third officer, Sgt. Chris Melton. The records allege Melton texted the photo to a sergeant and sent “disparaging and unprofessional” comments about potential police candidates to hiring board members.

The released documents did not detail the comments. It was not immediately clear whether Melton was disciplined. A Southlake police spokesperson did not immediately provide comment.

Southlake police Chief James Brandon released a statement Friday that said two officers were terminated for a swastika drawing. The statement came just days after The News inquired about the drawing and filed the records request for information after an anonymous tip.

An attorney representing the city of Southlake asked the Texas Attorney General to withhold some documents related to the investigation, arguing the information is privileged.

In the statement last week, Brandon did not identify the officers but said they were placed on leave June 14 when he became aware of the incident. He said he was “deeply disappointed in the lack of judgment shown by the actions of the officers involved.”

Records show Logan was fired July 11. Macheca was fired July 17, according to the records.

As Macheca joked around with a hiring board member, he drew the swastika in a training room and Logan — also on the board — photographed him and texted it to other hiring board members, the documents say.

But Logan had an old phone number for a sergeant, and “inadvertently texted the image” to an unknown member of the public. The citizen responded, “who is this, and why are you sending me a picture of a racist cop?” according to the documents.

Melton then sent the photo to the right number for the sergeant after he realized she didn’t receive the image, the documents say.

Macheca had worked with Southlake police since December 2008, according to Texas Commission on Law Enforcement records obtained by The News. He worked with the U.S. Coast Guard until 2007, the records say.

Logan had worked with Southlake police since 2012, according to TCOLE documents and his LinkedIn profile.

Melton has been with the department since 2012, according to TCOLE records.

Antisemitic, Homophobic, Bigoted Flyers Canvas Cars in Albany

Hate-filled flyers littered over 100 Albany cars Thursday July 27th, prompting a police report and call to the Department of Justice. The messages include Islamophobic, anti-LGBTQ+ and antisemitic sentiments.

The flyers contain about 13 variations of hate filled messages depicting graphic images and Islamophobic, anti-LGBTQ+, antisemitic and anti-Ukrainian sentiments.

The constituent, who wishes to remain anonymous, saw the distributer of the flyers and chose not to engage with them over fear of endangerment. Photos of the individual were taken and sent to Albany police.

After doing research on the flyers and looking at where information was attributed, police believe the flyers came from a hate group in Ashland; the person distributing the flyers also had out-of-state license plates.

A police report was filed, citing the event as a “Bias Incident” or hate speech, said Albany Police Chief Marcia Harnden in an email. Both the state and Albany Police recognize incidents with hate speech as bias incidents, she said.

Albany police posted vehicle information on social media in attempt to identify the person and there is a bias liaison officer who takes the responsibility of following up with the Oregon Department of Justice and conducts follow ups and resources if needed.

Anti-Jewish 'Goyim Defense League' (GDL) Leaflets Distributed in Northern California Neighborhoods

Police in Marin are investigating anti-Jewish messages disseminated in driveways Sunday similar to those strewn in many Bay Area cities for over a year.

Several residents of Larkspur and Corte Madera woke up to find small, clear plastic bags in their driveways that contained leaflets with antisemitic and racist language, Central Marin Police said.

By obtaining surveillance video from residences, police say they may have captured the suspect(s) and their vehicle.

The advocacy organization fighting antisemitism - StopAntisemitism - has attributed the antisemitic flyers to the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The league travels the country distributing these hateful flyers targeted Jewish communities.

Similar flyers have been left in driveways in Danville, Novato, Concord, Berkeley, Palo Alto and other cities.

Though the joint statement in Berkeley didn't explicitly say what was in the messages, it noted that "identical" antisemitic "screeds" blaming the COVID pandemic on the Jewish people had been disseminated across the country.

Central Marin Police are asking anyone who may have video footage from Saturday evening to Sunday morning to share it with them. Police would also like to hear from anyone who received similar material. To reach them, call (415) 927-5150.

Pensacola Police have confirmed they are investigating yet another incident of antisemitism in the city.

It comes after a fifth occurrence was discovered near the I-110 ramp near Gregory Street, close to the new Blake Doyle Skatepark. It's been sprayed on a brick thrown into a Jewish community center and then on two other bricks that shattered a synagogue window.

Earlier Friday, graffiti was found scribbled on street signs, not far from the Pensacola synagogue that was hit.

It's the latest case of vandalism that's violated the City of Pensacola.

Police said they're now looking into the newest case, on a quiet dead end street, on the 1-110 off ramp near Gregory Street and are not able to confirm if there's a connection until after they make an arrest.

California White Supremacist Who Called for Mass Murder of Jews Arrested

Photo: Ryan Scott Bradford, 34

Federal authorities have arrested an alleged white supremacist after a raid on his California home. Ryan Scott Bradford, 34, was already being investigated for calling for the mass murder of Jewish people and for possessing and manufacturing ghost guns.

Once police got inside the home they found ammunition and materials used to make weapons. Police also found an improvised explosive device (IED) and had to close the streets in the surrounding area. Bradford had been under federal investigation since 2021. Investigators said he posted multiple different threats against Jews online, threatening murder and other horrific acts of violence. He even posted pictures showing himself using a 3D printer to make guns.

Police said they found those printers in his home with swastikas painted on them, along with other Nazi propaganda.

Federal investigators said Bradford was part of a white supremacist group that originated in the state's prison system.

At the time of his arrest, police said they didn't have any evidence that he planned to carry out an attack. Still, experts said an arrest like this could potentially save lives.

"You have there in the prison system. You have the Aryan Brotherhood and then you have spinoffs of these types of gangs within the community. You could be in Orange County. It could be in San Fernando. It could be in Los Angeles County. It could be anywhere in California or anywhere in the country. You have these these pockets and when you deal with this you find it, you mitigate the violence that you see within the communities you save lives," said Timothy Williams, retired Senior Detective for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Bradford is already a convicted felon for a burglary in 2012, which means he isn't allowed to have any firearms.

Police also said they found meth inside his home.

Two Dallas Area Police Officers Fired After Displaying Swastika During Meeting

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples of concern through the community, the Southlake Chief of Police, James Brandon, has taken decisive action against two officers involved in a disturbing incident of displaying a hate symbol during a meeting. The incident came to light on June 14, 2023, when a swastika was drawn during a break in a meeting attended by members of the police department.

In an official statement, Chief Brandon expressed his profound disappointment in the actions of the officers, emphasizing that their conduct was entirely unrelated to the department's patch or logo. He described the drawing as an "inexcusable attempt at humor" and emphasized that such behavior would not be tolerated within the police department.

Following the discovery of the offensive drawing, Chief Brandon immediately initiated an internal investigation into the matter. The investigation uncovered that two officers had exhibited exceptionally poor judgment and a lack of leadership during the incident. As a result, their employment with the Southlake Police Department has been terminated.

Chief Brandon reiterated that the actions of these individuals do not represent the values upheld by the men and women who dutifully serve and protect the Southlake community each day. He assured the public that their actions were not reflective of the city's leadership, the police department's organization, or the community as a whole.

Orthodox Jewish Boy Brutally Assaulted in France

In a disturbing incident in Lyon, an antisemitic attack took place involving a 13-year-old boy targeted by three assailants, according to a report by Radio J. The young man, who was visibly identifiable as Jewish, endured a violent assault as he was jostled and pushed against a wall.

According to the report, a brave witness came to his aid, prompting the attackers to issue death threats if the witness reported the incident.

Undeterred by the threats, the teenager found the courage to speak out, and a complaint was swiftly filed, according to the report. "As a result, authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the matter, treating it as a case of aggravated violence based on religious affiliation," Radio J said.

More Anti-Jewish 'Goyim Defense League' (GDL) Leaflets Distributed in California

Multiple bags containing antisemitic flyers were found at various locations across Calaveras County, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office said the findings were reported to them on Sunday, July 23.

The flyers were inside Ziploc bags at multiple locations, including two homes in Valley Springs. There is no information on a suspect or suspects at this time.

The advocacy organization fighting antisemitism - StopAntisemitism - has attributed the antisemitic flyers to the Goyim Defense League (GDL). The league travels the country distributing these hateful flyers targeted Jewish communities. Similar bags were discovered in San Diego this week.

According to the sheriff’s office, it is unclear if this is connected to a similar incident that happened the same day in neighboring Amador County. The Sutter Creek Police Department said a person or group drove through neighborhoods and tossed antisemitic hate propaganda onto driveways.

Sutter Creek police were seeking any witnesses or potential home security footage that could help identify suspects in that case.

Michigan Park Vandalized with Nazi Symbols

Property at the Barstow Woods Park in Midland has been defaced with numerous symbols, including swastikas and what appear to be SS bolts.

According to a post from Midland Parks and Recreation, this is not the first time the park has been graffitied with a "sophomoric attempt at art."

"We've already clean it up but will bring it to the public's attention until it stops," Midland Parks and Recreation said. "I am not against silencing someone who defaces trees.”

Antisemitic 'Goyim Defense League' (GDL) Flyers Discovered in San Diego

San Diego Police collected multiple flyers off car windshields Wednesday with antisemitic messages. Police found them on Zion and Archwood streets in the Allied Gardens area.

"We won't get into what the flyers say," San Diego Police Lieutenant Adam Sharki said. "We won't amplify any message of hate. The flyers are inflammatory. They are racist and bigoted, and nasty. The police department doesn’t stand for it or any hate incident."

Lt. Sharki said this is not a hate crime but a hate incident they will investigate.

"Leaving flyers in a public place, regardless of the content, does not qualify as a crime, as disgusting or distasteful as that message might be. If it leads to broken windows or someone assaulted, then it is a crime," Lt. Sharki said.

However, the executive director of StopAntisemitism, Liora Rez, disagreed.

"When we look at civil rights, the Jewish people have protected civil rights, and these particular groups and these flyers are targeting the Jewish people," Rez said. "We disagree that this is not a hate crime; it is one. A case of a physical assault shouldn’t have to happen for them to enact hate crime laws. This group blames everything from abortion, the gun control debate, the war on Ukraine war, animal slaughter, and COVID; they blame it on the Jews. Their goal is to vilify the Jews."

San Diego Police are investigating a hate crime involving an assault against a San Diego Chabad Jewish Center member.

A tweet from @StopAntisemites said, "We are horrified to hear a member of the San Diego Chabad Jewish Center at San Diego State University has been assaulted. The attacker ripped the victim's tzitzit (a traditional Jewish garment) and yelled antisemitic slurs. In March, the same Chabad's menorah was vandalized."

“We are investigating a hate crime and activating any leads," Lt. Sharki said.

In July, CBS 8 talked to a married couple who found similar flyers in their San Carlos neighborhood. People living in Del Cerro and Santee also found flyers on their car windshields.

"Antisemitism is getting worse at a startling rate in California, and we need to do everything to stop this," Rez said.

New Jersey Skatepark Defaced with Swastikas

Racial slurs and swastikas were found graffitied throughout the skatepark at Gille Park in Lacey on Saturday, according to a resident.

A video of the park shared with Patch showed graffiti in various areas including on a table and on a half pipe.

Nicholas Christian, who recorded the video, said he shared it with Patch to raise awareness and so that anyone with young children wouldn't go there until the graffiti was removed.

"I saw the one on the table first then as I went around I couldn't believe it," he said.

The video shows that at least two swastikas and two instances of a racial slur in various locations of the skatepark.

Both police and Public Works have been made aware, the Lacey Recreation Department told Patch, and the park will be cleaned up ASAP.

The person responsible for the graffiti has not been identified.
