Antisemitic Graffiti Discovered South of Boston

Union Point resident Tara Conley-Wilson, 45, said she was walking with her 24-year-old son on a paved pathway through a wooded area when they encountered racist and antisemitic graffiti written on the pavement.

“I saw a lot of words about Jewish people,” she said. “My son is mixed race. I’m half-Asian. My husband is African-American. You feel unwelcome when you see those things. I felt it was time to speak out and say something.”

Abington Police officials could not be reached for comment about the incident, but they dispatched officers to the scene after being informed.

Photographs of the graffiti revealed some racially charged messages that were laced with profanity.

Conley-Wilson said the graffiti is near a former runway that was part of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station until the Base Realignment and Closure Commission Base  closed the site in 1997.
