Boca Raton Community Showered with Hitler Fliers

Many residents in Boca Raton woke up Wednesday morning to find hateful, antisemitic flyers on their front yard and driveways.

“Shocked and horrified and heartbroken,” said one of those residents, Paul Castronovo. Castronovo said more than 100 homes in the Golden Harbor community were targeted.

Someone threw a plastic bag with a flyer inside that asked people to wish Adolf Hitler a happy birthday and said he “…died fighting the human race’s eternal enemy: the Jew.”

“It’s one of those things that you see, you read about in the news, you see it on TV, and you think, ‘Wow, that’s really terrible,’” Castronovo said. “And then, all of a sudden, it’s in your backyard and you realize what kind of hate is out there.”

Neighbors checked their security cameras and found what they believe to be the culprit.

The video clearly shows someone driving through the neighborhood and tossing what looks like plastic bags from the window onto driveways and front lawns.

One neighbor contacted Congressman Ted Deutch, who tweeted a photo of the offensive flyer.

“It’s horrific,” Deutch told WPBF 25 News. “It’s impossible to believe that the community is dealing with something like this.”

Boca Raton police said they are investigating.
