More antisemitic flyers have been found in Northern California, this time in Redding neighborhoods.
A local came by the KRCR station on Friday to drop off a bundle of antisemitic flyers he found in his neighborhood during a walk. The flyers were found along Cumberland Drive and side streets.
The Jewish advocacy group StopAntisemitism tweeted the flyers originated from the known white supremacist group ‘Goyim Defense League’ or GDL, led by neo-Nazi Jon Minadeo II.

This isn’t the first time flyers like these have been found in Northstate neighborhoods. In July, flyers were found along Hemingway Street in Redding, and more had been found during the summer in Humboldt County.
Geri Copitch is a Temple Beth Israel board member. She has been made aware of multiple cases of anti-Semitic flyers in the Northstate before and says this newest incident did not surprise her.
“So it’s disturbing; it’s upsetting,” Copitch said. “It’s trying to isolate people, in this case, Jewish people in our community, to make them seem like they are something to be vilified and separate us from an other. Instead, we are all just people with similar goals.”
Copitch said anyone can be an advocate they just have to say they don’t want to see this kind of hate spread in our community.
Copitch said a friend also shared they found similar flyers recently and picked them up out of people’s yards. Copitch said each time something like this happens people come together for them.
