For the second time in two days, members of a Virginian Police Department were called to investigate antisemitic and racist writing found in bathrooms at area high schools.
On Friday, Jan. 20th the department responded to Heritage High School, where there was antisemitic graffiti posted in one of the bathrooms less than 24 hours after a similar incident was reported at Loudoun County High School.
The hateful writings come less than two weeks after three instances of antisemitic writing on the walls of bathrooms inside Heritage High School that remains under investigation.
Police are now working with the Loudoun County Public School system to investigate the latest incident. The nature of the graffiti has not been disclosed by investigators.
According to police, school officials have since searched all bathrooms and locker rooms at both buildings and are in the process of removing the racist messages.
“There is no place in our society for this type of hateful behavior,” officials stated. “The Leesburg Police Department takes such reprehensible actions seriously.”
