On the same day antisemitic graffiti was found spray-painted on the walkway at the West Natick MBTA station, similar graffiti was found on a construction trailer in Framingham.

Police spokeswoman Lt. Rachel Mickens said that shortly after 8 a.m. last Friday, a swastika was found spray-painted on the trailer in an empty lot on Walnut Street.

It's unknown whether the two incidents are connected. "We don't know how long it was there," said Mickens. "The lot is empty, other than the trailer. We don't know if it had been there, and no one saw it or if it was new."

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky said in a statement that he was "saddened" to hear of the incident.

In the Natick incident, someone discovered the swastika on Friday morning. A resident later covered up the graffiti with a chalk drawing of flowers and the words "Hate has no place here."

The Chabad Center of Natick on Sunday held a march from the spot of the graffiti to the Chabad Center for a community event, where Natick Police Chief James Hicks and others spoke.

Hicks said Monday that there have been no arrests and that the Natick incident remains under investigation.
