Another Swastika Found at a Connecticut School

Like other nearby districts in recent weeks, the city’s public schools is investigating alleged incidents of anti-Semitism and racism in a high school classroom.

In a letter to parents on Tuesday, Brien McMahon Principal Scott Hurwitz described “recent” incidents — including a drawn swastika found on a chair and the rearranging of computer keys to spell a racial slur — that occurred in the same computer lab.

“Two recent incidents, both troubling and disappointing, have caused us to look a little more closely at our climate and prompted us to takes steps to make our community even stronger,” Hurwitz wrote.
