Jewish Grocery Store Workers Get Bottles Thrown at Them, Verbally Assaulted With Antisemitic Slurs

A man chucked bottles at a group of supermarket workers as he spewed antisemitic obscenities at them Tuesday in the latest hate crime to hit the city, officials said. Workers at the Yeyo Food Corp. near Ditmas and McDonald Aves. called 911 after the creep began throwing bottles at them about 9:45 a.m.

The man hurled anti-Semitic obscenities at the workers before he stormed off, muttering to himself.

He spewed more anti-Semitic slurs as he waited at a nearby stoplight, officials said. Police were called to the scene and were investigating. No arrests have been made.

Tuesday’s incident comes as the city investigates more than a dozen attacks or hate crimes against Jewish people in New York City since Dec. 13, officials said.
