Peoria Police are investigating how nine windows were broken at Peoria's Congregation Anshai Emeth and Hebrew Day School.
According to the police report, the vandalism happened sometime between 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. The report describes damage to nine windows including window shattered in the social hall, two windows damaged in the kitchen, a bathroom window damaged, a stairwell window was damaged, and four classroom windows were damaged. The report says the total damage is about $11,000.
It also notes that several rocks and a brick were found inside the rooms with the shattered glass. Police believed the bricks were landscaping bricks from the property.
Police did not find evidence than anyone went inside the buildings or took anything from inside. In addition, chapel windows and chapel items did not appear to be disturbed or out of place.
