Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel spoke out against the recent string of anti-Semitic controversies in a tweet posted on Thursday.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demeans Holocaust victims,” tweeted McDaniel. “Ilhan Omar & Rashida Tlaib demand a boycott of the Jewish people. Several Democrats embraced Louis Farrakhan, who calls Hitler a ‘great man.’ Will Nancy Pelosi ever take a stand against the growing anti-Semitism in her ranks?”

As McDaniel claimed, the Democratic party has had many issues with anti-Semitism recently. During an event on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi deflected a question about condemning insensitive comments made by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

The issue in question was a recent Instagram Live video in which Ocasio-Cortez described the detention facilities as being “exactly” like concentration camps, as IJR Red reported.

Another controversy that McDaniel suggested Pelosi has failed to address correctly is the multiple comments that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) made which many believed to be anti-Semitic. Pelosi responded to the controversy by dismissing Omar’s comments.

“I don’t think our colleague is anti-Semitic,” Pelosi said. “I think she has a different experience in the use of words, doesn’t understand that some of them are fraught with meaning that she didn’t realize.”

McDaniel also pointed out that some representatives, including Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), have been connected with known anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Yet, as IJR Red reported, the most aggressive action that has been taken was a House resolution to condemn all hate speech.
