Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has been named “Antisemite of the Year” by StopAntisemitism, the group announced Monday.

The group, which describes the accolade as a “dishonorable award,” selected Rep. Tlaib above Hamas terrorist leader Ismail Haniyeh and influencer Gigi Hadid.

Rep. Marjorie Taylore Greene, R-Ga., in November referred to Rep. Tlaib as “terrorist Tlaib” after she was involved in a passionate speech before ceasefire protesters on Capitol grounds. The group later entered the Capitol to protest without authorization.

Rep. Tlaib in November was censured by the House for her rhetoric about the Israel-Hamas war. The representative had used the term “from the river to the sea,” which Jewish activist groups consider hate speech because it implies the eradication of Israel.

She later referred to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “genocidal maniac,” while condemning fellow members of Congress who met with him.

StopAntisemitism has been leading the charge against Hamas sympathizers and anti-Israel activists in the U.S. since the beginning of the war. In November, the group blasted Emory University’s Dr. Abeer AbouYabis for voicing support for Hamas terrorists on Facebook.

The group also slammed Mika Tosca of School of the Art Institute of Chicago for saying “Israelis are pigs. Savages. Very very bad people.”

Rep. Tlaib's office did not respond to a request for comment from The National Desk Monday.
