A Jewish woman was the victim of an attempted assault on Sunday afternoon on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights.
The victim, a Jewish woman who was with her baby in a stroller, was walking near 930 Eastern Parkway at approximately 3:15 pm when a male approached her and motioned as if he was about to punch her, police said.
The woman was frightened and jumped back, she told police. The male has a known history of psychological problems, police said.
A canvass of the area was conducted, and Shmira volunteers located the perp on Winthrop and Albany Avenue. He was arrested for menacing; hate crimes unit was notified of the incident, police said.
